21c toilet drain

Does the toilet drain on the 21c drop straight down into the tank, or is there a drain line with a bend in it? Just had to clear a clog and it seemed there was a change in direction in the pipe. I know the black tank is located at least partly to the side under the bed.

21C toilet sits directly on top of one end of the black tank, the other end is under the bed. The drain for the black tank comes off the side of the tank under the bed with a bit of a curve, then goes down.

You can see the tank drain line under the bed.
