If you want to comparison shop, check out Duracell from Batteries Plus.
Interstates *used* to be 100% Johnson Controls. Duracells are for sure a brand where various sizes can be made by almost anyone.

there's 3 primary lead acid battery makers in the USA. Johnson Control's battery unit got spun out and is now Clarios. East Penn's another primary manufacturer, their own brands are Deka and Intimidator, but they also make batteries for many othe rbrands, the "Duracell" euro sized batteries I've used in my Volvos and Mercedes were made by East Penn. Finally, there's Exide, who makes almost exclusively house brand batteries, and is also the biggest polluter in the industry and runs their business like a bunch of crooks, see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exide_lead_contamination ... on general principles I try and avoid anything made by Exide... The trouble is, its very hard to know where something like a Diehard or Walmart or whatever came from.

Interesting, the Deka has the same style linked cap that Interstate has. The other brands I've looked at had different cap styles.

Trojan flooded "Plus" series T-145 is 260AH and the same GC-2 size.

yes, these extra life ones are significantly heavier, and more expensive.

Duracell claims that all of its larger (car sized and similar) batteries are exclusively East Penn products. So anyone looking for 6v deep cycles and ok with an East Penn might want to look at Duracell. You will know where it came from.

Or look at Crown AGM. Superb reputation from Ohio.

A ton of unhappy buyers and reviews.
There are 47 reviews in Costco website, most of them thumb down. if anyone want to read them:

I'm going with Trojan T-105 Plus

The Costco 6V battery is not "up to snuff" I suspect. Cheaper, sure. Better....not so sure.

Costco buyers are hell to vendors. You can buy what you want, however I've never had a problem over the last 20+ years buying their batteries.

"Who manufactures Costco Interstate Batteries?
Image result for costco interstate battery reviews
Much to my surprise, the Costco CEO recently divulged that Kirkland batteries are actually made by Duracell. So why pay up to 35 cents more per battery with Duracell when you can opt for the Kirkland brand knowing that the quality is probably identical.Oct 11, 2022"

The Costco battery is branded Interstate... Duracell is another "brand" apparently made by East Penn aka Deka.

Except to say Costco is still the value leader in the auto/rv battery market.

"Who makes Interstate Batteries?"
Interstate Batteries, is a US privately owned battery marketing and distribution company. It markets automotive batteries manufactured by Brookfield Business Partners, Exide Technologies, and others
Brookfield is Clarios, formerly Johnson Controls. Exide is the most polluting company in the industry.
