So this winter I am able to store my trailer under cover and able to keep it plugged in to shore power. Should I leave the batteries installed and switch the battery disconnect to off? Will this still allow the batteries to charge? Or is it better to just remove the batteries completely and store them inside as usual and not even keep the trailer plugged in? Mark

If you are plugged in to shore power you can leave everything alone and just let the WFCO power center with converter/charger do its job. No need to touch the battery isolation switch. If you do decide to pull the batteries you should really have them on a maintainer.

I've not removed my batteries in the 12 years I've owned the trailer. It sits over winter in the driveway, plugged in to house power. No advantage in removing the battery.

I work in communications and we have wet cell batteries that power the transmission equipment and provide backup power during power outages. They are always at the proper float voltage. A lot of them were put in service in the 80's! So, I leave my 17B plugged in and keep the water level in the 2 golf cart batteries topped off.
A fully charged lead-acid battery can stand cold temps just fine; it is when they are discharged that the electrolyte can freeze and they can be damaged.
I too have never removed my two lead acid batteries over winter storage or turned them off, and they have been fine the last 6 years. I did often have shore power into the trailer in the yard, and we have had some pretty cold winter weather here.
