I doubt it's the toilet at this early stage in it's life and I've never personally had the experience described with the Thetford through multiple trailers.
I experienced this same thing late August and it was the gray tank stinking. Went to dump station and flushed the gray tank and all the traps about 5 times then put some water in the gray and added a 1/4 cup of bleach similar to sanitizing the water tank and drove around for a bit, let it sit for a week and flushed again. No odors of any kind since.
