Reservations with Parks Canada

Looking into a trip to Whistler in Jasper NP but not till 2018. Went to the website for reservations which states...

2017 reservations are available now at most locations – plan your visit! To make it easier to plan your experiences, reservations for visits from April 2017 through to March 2018 are now available at most locations.
Search below for details, including the specific operating and reservable dates for each location.



For Whistler in particular it states:

2017 Operating Season 1 2017 Reservable Period 2

May 3 to October 8 May 3 to October 8


If I wanted to make reservations for say June 1 2018, would this become available June 1 2017? Can't find a reservation window on the site.

I think the reservation system starts Jan 1 and is good for that year.
Might want to contact Parks Canada to confirm.

The Jasper camping web page includes the "Reserve online" button shown in the attached snip from the page. The form which opens includes arrival and departure dates which are only month and date - no year - and the calendar tool attached to them allows selection only a year in advance.

That seems like a reasonable guess at an earliest date to me, but even then it might not be possible... starting fresh each January makes sense.
