Planning a trip to gold butte national monument. Will camp at Whitney pocket. Anyone with experience w this area, especially recent. Must sees, road conditions etc. thanks much.
Well no one posted so guess not. I went & enjoyed the journey although the road in is quite rough. Went to the pocket & low & behold there was an escape 19 or 21 at Whitney Pocket. I found a secluded spot behind 1st rock. Spent 4 glorious days exploring this exceptional area. Joshua trees then higher up cedars juniper yucca.
