Port Huron Michigan’s an hour from London. Many Londoners love shopping stateside and stopping at Olive Garden. We used to have an Olive Garden here in London but they pulled out 25 years ago.

We just called the campground for the Niagra rally yesterday. They forgot to roll over our reservation from last year and felt that they would not be open. Now this news (We are fully vaccinated.) What are are the provinces saying about letting people in?

Hi: CindyL... The Provinces are too scared to offer anything more than a definite MAYBE!!! The border is the Fed's territory and they're scared too!!! All we can do is hope. Alf

Great news! Our 21 NE GCD is September 2. That would mean a trip to Chilliwack. Crossing our fingers. We are fully vaccinated. :-)

Polio and smallpox were not eliminated by natural herd immunity but by a vaccine.
The more people that get vaccinated the sooner the border will open.

Perhaps not. Our pickup date is 10/29 and we were told that, even if the border opens, ETI is considering limiting, if not eliminating the factory pickup opportunity going forward.
Our pickup will be in Washington where our trailer will be towed by ETI and unhooked. Not clear on whether tow staff will be equipped to do walk through.

We were told we could pick-up if the border is open, but that now and in the future the one-on-one Orientation is being discontinued. This is unfortunate as the video orientation does not address everything in enough detail as well as the inability to ask questions for clarification. IMHO. We were also told the drivers can only offer guidance for hooking up to the TV, but are not allowed to assist you due to liability issues, which is understandable and acceptable to us. We are going to request a copy of the PDI.

Escape is eliminating the factory orientation per their last video. US customers have always taken physical possession of their trailer in Sumas WA.

Doug that's where we first discovered Cracker Barrel, now a favourite stopping place for the night while traveling in the US.
If it's open than Mississippi Rally here we come
We're excited today as our daughter and kids (including the five month old only Beth has met) are on the way to our town, a long one day drive from Fort Leavenworth. She'll have to quarantine for two weeks at our son's place here in town (they are away) because although she doesn't have to, her children do.

I am not trying to stir the pot, but just looking for more information on your post. Is polio still a problem, like in underdeveloped areas?

Yes, polio is still a problem in Afghanistan and Pakistan. See Rotary International info on their polio eradication program:

Polio is, smallpox is not. Polio is not a huge problem as long as people get vaccinated but since it is still in some populations, not vaccinating for it could cause an outbreak. Smallpox is considered to have been eradicated and the US no longer vaccinates for it, but I believe worldwide some are still vaccinated.
