In response to a growing number of complaints about a scarcity of sites in popular campgrounds and the hoarding and scalping of online reservations, the BC government has announced the addition of up to 1900 new sites and a fairer booking system.
The timing of these long-overdue improvements has nothing to do with the fact that 2017 is an election year. Whatever the motivation, these are welcome moves for British Columbians who camp and visitors alike.
