He will be missed, greatly. He was very helpful to me and our cat Leyna.

Thanks for posting this Perry, and thanks for sharing pictures Alan.

He was a great soul and contributed greatly to the Escape Forum. Here's a link to his profile: [url]https://www.escapeforum.org/forums/members/davidmurphy02-8278.html[/url

Very sad news indeed but I imagine him reveling in the joy of being reunited with all of his beloved, furry pals. Please pass along our condolences to his family. He will be missed.

David was such a help to me many times and his advice saved us from several miserable nights with our trailer. He set a standard that I try to emulate when I offer help to others. He will be missed terribly.

In my observance, David was an extremely intelligent and sharing person of this forum that will be missed. May he rest in peace.

Thanks for letting us know Perry

Sad news for sure, David, though not here, will not be forgotten

Prayers for peace and healing for Mary

David was another very positive voice on this forum. Never met him but enjoyed his comments.

David No Longer Walks The Earth

I've cobbled together a few images which have to do with David. These were taken in the fall of 2022. The location was southern Utah. He was an important mentor to me when it came to camping in the southwest. There wasn't much he didn't know about camping there, locations, the ins and out of booking reservations, etc. He had a very dry sense of humor with a crystal clear perspective about how the world worked. And didn't as the case may be. He was a good guy and a generous soul. I'll miss him.
1. First face to face meeting - Capitol Reef National Park
2. Group shot - Chimney Rock Trail which David introduced us to.
3. Chimney Rock Trail
4. Observing the sun at Dead Horse Point
5. Leading the gang.
6. Exuberance in the midst of what David was dealing with.

It wasn't mere chance that Telescopist was there in 2022 when David and Mary were there. It's a very long drive from Pennsylvania to Capitol Reef to meet someone you've never met before. David was trying to hold out to get back one last time, and the plan was Capitol Reef in April of 2024. We know that he'll be there in spirit.

Nice photographic tribute, wackyburggeezer, to a gentleman who was, by all the accounts here, one of the truly good guys.

I joined the forum about the same time as David did. Although I do not post much, I am here often and have learned much reading posts by knowledgeable contributors like him.

I will miss reading his.

RIP David.

Thank you for posting your photos with David, Telescopist. We envy your time spent with a person who by all accounts was a joy to be around. I know we would have learned a great many things from him. I can guarantee he will be remembered as we make our own trek through those same places in southern Utah later this year.

Rest In Peace David. I never met him in person but it sure feels like I knew him. It was a privilege for us all to have crossed paths with David even if just virtually through this forum. I have learned a great deal from him and know from his posts that he was a very kind and knowledgeable man. I hope that all the great memories help to carry his friends and family through this tough time.

I'm another who wasn't lucky enough to know him, but always appreciated his thoughtful contributions here. Hopefully, Mary has some idea of how much he was appreciated by many of us, & that we too will miss him.
