No Longer An Orphan - EVERYTHING HAS CHANGED!!

We bought our used 2021 E19 in Dec. 2021 in the middle of the RV demand frenzy.

The previous owner implied that it was hardly used [Sic} and it was not exactly what we would have ordered.

Escape was very helpful with some advice and did sell us some parts but we were told to go to any RV repair shop to get things installed or looked after.

Our experience with our closest local RV repair shop on the Northshore was a little deflating, expensive and there was no desire to go back.

One example, we had purchased a bathroom window from Escape and had it installed at above RV shop which they siliconed in and it leaked.

Lippert did cover it under warranty and send a replacement and the above local RV shop wanted more to replace it than they charged to install it.

At the last Escape Rally I did express concern to some Escape management folks the I felt like an orphan with my trailer because there was nowhere to take it where anybody seems to care.

WELL EVERYTHING HAS CHANGED!!

Last week we took our trailer out to the new service department and had the window factory installed for less that half of what that local RV shop wanted and it looks factory original.

Escape's shop rate is $135.00 per hour which significantly less than that local shop.

In addition, I had a second MaxFan installed that I purchased used at the last from rally a guy who installed an air-conditioner. Escape supplied all the parts that were missing or covered in sealant.

Additionally, my supplied Garmin Backup Camera and ShurFlow Accumulator Tank were beautifully installed.

My wheel bearing checked and repacked and brakes were adjusted.

They also replaced the bathroom fan and gave everything a look over and clean bill of health.

Frankly, I was shocked at how reasonable the final invoiced was.

We could not be happier.

I'm very happy to hear this and hope it lasts.

Great update on the ETI servicing.

I had to deal with the same outfit in N. Van. to get the stove replacement installed. Wasn't impressed to say the least.

Garmin backup camera? Is that an option now? How is it installed? The screen to my installed Furrion has disappeared (either stolen or hidden so well by me so it wouldn't get stolen that I can't find it now). Replacement is rather expensive, so would like to learn about other options.

I use a Garmin GPS and didn't want a third screen so I got a Garmin BC50 Backup Camera which has night vision. First I had it out the back window but the night vision created a glare off the window so now it is mounted off the back of solar panel aluminium frame and then follows the solar panel wiring down the fridge vent and gets power there. Works pretty good. I wanted it out of the reach and not have to worry if I have something loaded off the hitch. Thinking of adding a manual shut off at the power behind the fridge.

That sounds like a great solution. I still have the Furrion camera although the screen is lost. I imagine I could hook the Garmin one to the power that went to the Furrion?
