Question Tank hose holder used for storing a rug?

Hi folks, somewhere along the line I saw how a gentleman said something like his Escape came with a 6" tube for the hose, but only needed a 4" tube. So he had installed a 4" tube for the hose and was using the 6" tube to store an outdoor rug instead. This sounds like a great idea, but I can't find the reference anymore.

Can anyone verify the size of the standard tube? Does a Rhino hose fit in a 4" tube? Will a second hose tube fit under a 5.0TA?
Thanks!

You can order a second sewer hose storage tube on your build. The inside diameter is 4-5/8" and it is big enough to stow a Rhino sewer hose with the end connectors / fittings, on my 5.0 I can fit two 10 foot Rhino hoses in the tube. I use the second tube to stow a folding ladder, but it could certainly carry a rolled up rug.

Here is info on the sewer hose tube from the manufacturer: https://dwincorp.com/product/super-tube/

Good info, thanks!
The ladder is a good idea. Maybe nice to get 3 of these...
I wonder how big a rug could be rolled up and still fit in there.

Sean,

Great idea!

We have 3 tubes under our 2017 21’. Two for sewer stuff and one for miscellaneous items like hiking poles and such.

I am in a chemo treatment this afternoon but will get a link for you this evening when I get home. It came from Amazon, easy to find.

One note - I would have liked to get a 6 foot ladder but the tube was an inch or two too short so I had to go with the 5 footer. Had I known that I would have asked ETI if they could make the tube 73" long, plenty of room under the trailer for that

I wonder if there's any reason a second tube couldn't be installed on an E19?

I have one of these folding ladders. It is the six-foot model and sure enough it is a bit too long to fit in the six-foot bed of my Tacoma. I bought the ladder at a Camping World in June 2017; its list price was well over $100.

BTW- this ladder is quite a bit heavier than you would think. I wasn't that happy with it and replaced it with a four-step Gorilla ladder from Home Depot that I keep in my truck bed when traveling. It's tall enough so that I can reach the trailer roof, and I'm 5'8" tall.

Ck estate sales in one’s area. I got lucky and came across the 6 ft model for $15.00. Pick it up paid for n in to the truck before they could possibly change their minds on the price. Have also found many many camping item some still new at these estate sales
