Now that escape is no longer carrying a 3 burner stove we are considering our options for our 21 build. We frequently need 3 burners in our cooking due to food requirements between me and my wife so this is a highly desirable feature. Escape has said they will install an atwood if we order it and they are available online for ~150usd. Is there a 3 burner version of the new flush mount suburban stove? The suburban website is not helpful. Any other companies we should consider?
It probably doesn't need to be a Suburban (from Airxcel) or Atwood (which is now one of the Dometic brands), since Escape has installed other brands and styles of customer-supplied stoves. My suggestion is to check with Escape for maximum cutout size, maximum depth, and any other restrictions, and then choose from among available stoves which fit those constraints.
They might even do a slide-in stove, such as the 3-burner Atwood/Wedgewood which is the stovetop-only version of the range offered by Escape as an option.
That's unfortunate. I suppose that while the counter cutout would be the same as they routinely do, the configuration of the rest of the cabinet would be too different.
It's still a do-it-yourself possibility, for those who are up to the cabinetry work.
Personally, my major reason for purchasing the 21 was so I could have an oven & still have descent counter space. I do lots of dry camping, and the oven has been great!
The oven was #2 on our list of reasons to upgrade from a 17B. We only went as far as the 19 though, so def have counter-space-envy. But we compensate for that with our queen bed [emoji933]
