One of the main reasons I bought an 17' Escape was the forward Goucho bunk bed option and it's high weight capacity (now 200 pounds); it is much higher than the other fiberglass trailer bunk ratings. Being forward mounted, the bunk beds can be blocked off with a curtain so the kids have their own space. I was concerned about the kids falling off the upper bunk so I made a bed rail. It has held up well and worked great.

We still use all these items and they work great. Many times both kids sleep on the upper bunk, I sleep on the lower bunk and mom sleeps in the house.
