Can I use my GP-PWM-30 UL just to turn on Inverter?

I am soon to start my Lithium install, just waiting for a few parts to come in.
We use our inverter a lot to power the microwave mostly.
With the lithium batteries I am going to install a Renogy MPPT & DC-DC charger so my Go Power will no longer be used (it doesn't work with Lithium) but I was wondering if I can still feed it 12 volts just so we can use the built in remote to turn the inverter on and off?
I don't want to remove it because then there is a big hole and if I can use it strictly to control the Inverter then that would work.

Interesting notion to keep it just for the provided GP inverter on/off remote control.

Noting that the controller installation instructions say to connect the controller to the battery and let the display 'power up' before connecting the PV panels ...... seems a valid 'test' would be to just disconnect your PV panel wires from the unit as it is now and see if that feature still works without causing any nuisance error codes on the controller? It may or may not work without 'sensing' the connected panels?

I would try that 'test' with the panels covered or in dark of night when they are not producing any output to the controller.

While it will work as a remote without solar panels connected, you might consider purchasing a GP SWR-A remote and locate it in a more convenient location. When I switched to lithium & a Victron solar controller I removed the GoPower controller and put the remote over the refrigerator (a 2017 21). I got tired of standing on my head to switch the inverter off & on...

Thanks. That makes sense to try it out that way.

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind. I'll try the existing controller and see if it works and if it does then make a decision about the remote later.

I have a switch on my solar panel so I can switch it off when the battery is charged. I can use my GP-PWM-30 to switch my inverter on and off regardless of whether the solar panel is connected to it or not.

Yes, thanks. I also have a shut off switch on my solar and tried it out and it works. I will try this out for a while.
