Charging two lithium ion batteries

When you want to connect an external charger to your batteries and you have two of them in parallel, do you connect both the black and red to the neg and pos of the first battery or should you connect the red+ to the first battery and the black- to the second battery?

Sorry, realized this should be under the thread “ Maintenance, Winterizing and Routine Care”

Consider it one battery. Hook the red (positive) on the post with the red cable and hook the black (negative) on the battery with the black cable.

Enjoy,

Perry

Victron has a wiring guide that details 3 or 4 ways to parallel batteries.
https://www.victronenergy.com/upload...limited-EN.pdf
In my install
I hook the positive from the first battery and the negative from the second battery. Of course they are connected with a 1 foot 2/0 wire.

The other options are detailed in this document as well as a wealth of wiring explanations
