Max Air Fan inside cover

Has anyone found a way to cover the inside of the Max Fan? We plan on going to Alaska and want to block the daylight so we can sleep better.

I have cut out a piece of expanded polystyrene insulation that fits snug into the opening and keeps out light and helps considerably in keeping in heat
