Mounting a WeBoost antenna ?

Presumably at least some Escapee's have installed a cell booster like a WeBoost RV ? I was looking over the WeBoost installation guidelines, and for RV use they suggested installing the antenna on an RV ladder, which of course we don't have. They also say ideally it should be higher than the tallest thing on top of the RV< which is the A/C unit. I don't want it to shade my big solar panel of course, so back of the A/C isn't a good choice.

What have others done?

I recently installed the "Destination RV" WeBoost model on my 19, and outlined how I mounted the telescoping mast-style antenna here:

However, it sounds like you are interested in the "Drive Reach" model. I'm unsure how I would permanently mount that antenna style. My first thought would be off the existing solar panel bracket, but agree that would risk partially shading the panel in certain circumstances.....

Curious..............

Are these ground- plane independent external antennas?

As the Escape has no metal for a ground plane, so to speak.........

Or, maybe a pie plate or marine version if not?

Afaik, no ground plane for a weBoost, the antenna looks like a skinny beer can on a stick
