Yes, please. Thanks.

When I get home, I’ll see if I can get measurements and post them here in case others want to use them. It’s assembled with Titebond 3 glue and a pin nailer to hold it together while the glue dries. It was just a quick project not intended to be furniture grade. That would take longer, but is quite possible working from the same basic idea if someone wanted to do that.

Over valance bed shelf:

Finally got to this. It is 15 1/2” long. The shelf is 3 3/4” deep. The height from the hook over the valance to the shelf bottom is 4 1/2”.

Thanks Rubicon. They are also at post 166 and 171 where I did the build.

Hope that helps. More mods / upgrades / changes and repairs are planned. Right now, slowly over time, I am working on a permanent table top, and enlarging the drawer under the closet. I’m also still working on our finicky windows.

I’ve thought about tabletops, and decided to go more utilitarian in response to how we use the trailer. It’s just going to be matching Formica.

Will be heading out again in March. So time to start thinking about Padawan again. First plan, put a larger drawer in that space under the wardrobe. The drawer can be deeper and longer without changing a thing, and can be wider if you want to do a bit of work. I’m opting for deeper and longer at this time. I can add 1 1/2” in depth and 6 1/2” in length easily. The closet floor had a bit of glue besides staples, but easily popped up. So this project is started. Wood is here for the drawer, and slides are ordered.

Drawer slides arrived, gluing tabletop Formica since it’s warm today, and gluing an acrylic mirror in the bathroom. Pictures to follow. Need to get going on setting down some of the plans for the fall trip.

Bath mirror

Put some heat in the garage and waiting for it to warm up so I can continue the table. Acrylic mirror on bath wall. I wanted a mirror with better light than the medicine cabinet. I debated what to attach it with, as there are options with pro’s and cons, but decided to just go the epoxy route. I hope I never have to remove it, but there are ways if needed.

Looking good.

There is lots of space to eek out if you wish, this is the main reason I had my trailer made with no cabinetry finished and just did it myself. I have two 24"D x 12"H drawers in the section of the cabinetry were the furnace is. This is the section that houses the liquor cabinet, the drinks (coffee, tea, hot chocolate, etc) and a pot drawer are.

From your photo of the mirror

It appears to be operating properly.
And another job well done, says Mr. Natural

I remember our Casita had a full-length mirror on the outside of the bathroom door. I decided that I really didn't want to look at my bleary-eyed, groggy self first thing in the morning, and took it down. Never found it to replace when we sold the trailer.

New tabletop. Still needs a bit of finish, and I still need to build another post brace some year, but we’ve been using it without additional support. I bought the trailer without a table and used a glued edge board to make a quick table to get us in the road. It was too heavy, so I planed it down and eventually it cracked. I thought I might build a nice tabletop finally, but decided we really were better off with utilitarian given our usage. So I went with plywood and matching Formica.

Light & wood

Looks swell!

I replaced my table with a 1/2" thick maple veneered plywood piece. I had the material on hand and I just like the wood look more. The edges were banded with a maple veneer & an iron. The banding has a hot melt glue on it for application.

I use the "old" factory formica table top in the garage on some Harbor Freight folding steel saw horses as a portable work table.

Many paths.

Looks Great!

I'm disappointed that I missed ordering our table without the four cut corners.

The stock Formica table just sits in the barn. The corners of this table are specifically cut for pivoting the table and ease in ingress and egress. My edge band is also iron on adhesive, but color matched to the countertops. The ply I used was a piece of 1/2” MDO left from a barn quilt. It is cut to fit in case we want to make a dinette bed, but haven’t since before 1993. Some folks don’t like the Lagun, but we love it.

Dinette bed

I do use my table top, atop a Springfield pedestal, as a bed platform. Someone got elderly a bit and snores, and separate sleeping areas cut down on the noise disturbance.

Keep a back up in your pocket, for when you may need it.

Someone else has been exiled to the dinette bed. A two-inch topper makes it actually comfortable, and rolled up it makes a cozy backrest for watching TV in the 21C bed.

Finally had time to do the longer under closet drawer in the E19. Pictures of the new and old drawer so you can see the difference. The slides need a bit of tweaking, but that’s a job I’ll just add to the back burner since there are other priorities.
