Paper towel roll holder in 5.0
We’ll be picking up our new 5.0 in a few weeks. I wondered where you like to install a paper towel roll dispenser on your 5.0’s kitchen cabinet walls, if any.
Thanks!

A lot of owners use the "stripper pole" as a towel holder, if your model has one........

Hi: drjp... We got a chrome one from The Container Store. It clips to the top horizontal door edge facing out over the upper cabinette door above the sink. If you buy a roll of Viva paper towel it clings to it's self and won't unfirl into the trailer. Alf

Terry does not want her space by the sink cluttered up, so we use this clip-on paper towel holder. In our 5.0 we clip it to our upper cabinet door next to the entry for easy access from the kitchen as well as the outside.
Enjoy,
Perry

We prefer to use a paper holder that hangs on a cabinet door. It can be easily moved to a more appropriate spot as needed. We normally have it in top of an upper cabinet or on the inside of a cupboard door.
This way it can easily be out of the way when not in use for a better visual look.

Thanks. Could you post a photo of the paper holder. I’m think you mean one of those individual dispensers of folded paper hand towels, but not sure.

Thanks Alf. I guess you mean the same like Perry’s: in photo.
In my 17 we had a nice wooden one with a spring-loaded spindle screwed to the bulkhead near the stove top but up high and safe. 🤞 But I want to minimize the drilling and screwing this time around!
I like the Viva tip. We used to keep a rubber band around the roll when rolling down road.

Nice.
I think Escapers would benefit from a few photos of how other experienced nomads organize their cabinets. I know I would!

I made a mount out of some aluminum stock and took advantage of existing holes in the wood trim. It’s tucked out of the way and doesn’t obscure my view out the window. I can also easily access when outside.

I mounted mine under cabinet above the sink. It's been secure in that position for 12 years, held up by double sided tape. I could screw it in place, but haven't needed to. I believe you'll find it at Bed Bath and Beyond. Inexpensive, light weight and durable, with no moving parts.
BTW, if you squeeze the roll so that it is oval, it will not unravel when on the road.

I use the same towel holder, and use Viva towels, which "stick" to the roll, making rubber bands or squeezing unnecessary. They are also very absorbent...

There are two types of Viva paper towels. Buy the ones that are called “real cloth.” They stick to themselves. The other variety is just like Bounty or any other brand and will unroll when traveling down the road.

Pretty much the same as the one we have used for over 12 years of Escape ownership.
