Rotate power jack on 2022 21C problems

Hi everyone -

I would like to rotate the power jack on my 21C I picked up in January. Watched several videos about it. However, when the jack is rotated, it won't fit with the propane cover in place. It does appear that the propane tanks can be moved back an inch or so maximum if new holes are drilled in the A frame. Has anyone successfully done this and been able to rotate the jack so the tailgate of the TV can drop fully?

I used a 12 inch long tow bar on my truck and that lets my very large tailgate fully open.

I think it was this one. https://www.curtmfg.com/part/45260

Just remember that a longer tow bar reduces your hitches towing capacity.....

I've searched but where can I find the 5" long bolt manual jack conversion details. I know I've seen a pretty detailed breakdown before but I just can't find it.

A $1.00 conversion to the included manual jack sure sounds like a great idea.

true, but at least in my case, i have way too much to spare to be worrying about the 500 lbs or so of hitch weight of my E21

How does the math work if adding an extension to the hitch? What is the "typical" capacity of a trailer hitch?

If you are towing with the 2020 F-350 Turbo Diesel Crew Cab listed in your profile, it seems that you could simply get a longer stinger or ball mount.

I'd assume its a leverage thing. how far behind the rear axle is the standard tow ball? vs how much farther behind the axle is the extended tow ball ?

the hitch I use has a tongue weight limit of around 750 lbs. My truck suggests using a WDH if you have over 650 lbs, but the truck can handle up to like 1200 lbs tongue weight with a WDH.

so the ~ 450-500 lbs of my E21 is practically nothing.

Sorry, I couldn’t find the 5” bolt conversion with a quick search either. It will take digging sometime when I have more time for looking.

I just rotated my jack on a 19. Problem on few posts is that the Camco beauty cover is to thick 15 in, so the Front box will not close because the cover pushes against the jack and the front box. Doug & Betty just pointed out to me you can go with a Icon propane dual cover that's 13 in wide on Amazon ,2 week wait for delivery. It's for both 20 & 30 lb tanks.
Amazon also has a 14 inch width I just tried. Fit without modification but it's close. It's a Flame king dual 20 lb cover. Both have free returns if they don't work out. Double check that.
