Tongue jack install?

Putting in a power tongue jack on my 2022 21C. Where is closest 12 point I can use for power? Thanks

There should be a junction box under the front driver's side frame that is used to splice the 7 pin trailer whip to the trailer wiring. Probably the best & easiest location.

Jon is correct. Attached is an image of my junction box inside the frame on the drivers side kind of underneath the storage box. The second pin (black) from the right was the one I used. You should check it with a volt meter to makes sure. it should be the only one with a constant 12 volts.

My tongue jack came with the recommendation to run the ground to a bolt near the jack. They also didn't provide as long a wire.

I much prefer to run the ground into the junction box so I extended the ground wire. I like to keep my ground connections as dry and corrosion free as possible.

I recently installed a Bulldog 3500 power jack to our 21C. My experience is in a post in the towing and hitching section. Hope it helps.

Great idea. Junction box is inside on older trailers so I went to a 30A fused slot on the power center. Those that go right to the junction box might want to consider an inline fuse unless their jack comes with one or has a built-in auto reset circuit breaker. I guess I was lazy and just grounded the jack base to the frame with some scraping away of paint and star washer as instructions called for. If I ever have a problem I’ll find a way to add a ground wire and extend to ground bar inside.
