That was my plan, but they say they won't relocate the cable to that location anymore.
Doesn't make sense, since that location is closer to the outside section.

They make adapters that allows the use of any window screen for cable hook up....see here

That's an interesting option, thanks!
Truth be told, I don't plan to watch much cable TV, but I would like the option. But more importantly, I want the cable hook up because IIRC, it can be used for external cell boosters.

Dinette TV Mount for 5.0

I share the same concern with you. So following is my solution using easy to buy components from Home Depot or Lowe’s. Please note that I don’t have a photo showing the power and cable connection which I later added to the underside of the overhead cabinets just above the TV. BTW,I used a 24” LG smart TV.

If you have any questions regarding the implementation, I’d be happy to help.

I also implemented a similar solution in the bedroom using a 19” TV, mounted diagonally under the passenger side overhead cabinet. No photo currently available.

Nice work. Did you have that wall reinforced to hold that additional strip of wood and the stopper piece?

Not needed since the corners have 2-1/2” framing and I was able to find a solid member for the stopper/retainer using a stud finder.
