Wavy Panel Front Window Cover

I'm wondering if any other owners have a wavy appearance to the panel inset in the front window cover frame? The frame is straight but there is a slight buckling of the thin skin panel. We don't have the lettering for the Escape !9 so this may make it show more than if it was ordered with it.

If someone has tackled a replacement I would like to know how it turned out and suggestions on material and method?

We had this wavy/warping on our 2019 17B. When I asked about it I was told that the thin material just does that. We decided to ignore it. On our 2020 19’ we see the same thing. It is pretty minimal now, but may become more noticeable over time. We had the Escape lettering on the 17B and have it on the 19. Again, we are ignoring it. The window cover seems to be a thinner material than was on our Scamp, but that was several years ago and I am not sure that I remember correctly.
Our experience for what it is worth. Likely not a whole lot.

Plastic expands due to warmth. The vinyl is captive around the edges. It expands and becomes wavy the same way that vinyl siding, installed improperly by not leaving the ability to expand will become wavy. Vinyl siding nails at not supposed to be driven right down hard on the vinyl but rather left proud so the the vinyl can expand and move sideways.

It's a cosmetic issue and maybe more visible with the absence of the Escape vinyl.

You can always tell people it is done purposely so the trailer flows through the air better…similar to the divits in a golf ball.

I wonder if opening the cover when in storage could help keep it cooler and prevent warping?
