2 burner stove pan size

We’re picking up our new E-19 this month. I see the minimum pan size is 6.25”. Is this for a safety issue or just due to the space in the center, right above the gas, being too large? I have a burner size adjuster ring, could that be used safely for a smaller pan?

6.5" is small already. What would you use a smaller pan for?

This explains what happens if you use a large pan. It does not go detail on the small pan .https://escapetrailer.com/orientatio...lery-c1c6be0-4

Your espresso maker should sit on the existing grate without the adjuster ring as the existing grate goes right to the center of the burner. I have a small espresso maker, likely similar to yours and have used it on a number if propane stoves like this. You may not be able to turn the burner up too high, and you may want to put it off center a bit if the handle it too close over the flame.

Thanks! I never turn the burner up really high as per instructions of manufacturer of pot.
