Hello newbie here and don't understand heat strips on the airconditioner, what are they for?
Also someone mentioned using Amber exterior lights, WHY?

If you use the search function , you will find a recent thread that completely explains what a heat strip is , how it works and the pro’s and con’s .

Supposedly the amber do not attract the bugs at night as far as as heat strips, supplemental heat to the on board furnace may or may not be needed.
