5.0 Escape Mattress

Time to replace my mattress, anyone got a little better custom made one? Does a regular queen fit?

The 5.0 mattress is 60” by 78 1/2”.
A standard Queen is 60” by 80”
An RV Queen is 60” by 75”

When it’s time to replace our mattress, I think I would buy a “Purple Mattress” they work well without the support of a box spring.

And if it needed to be trimmed it could be trimmed.
The easiest way to cut foam is with an electric caving knife.

We have a short queen Widerness Mattress mid-grade in our 5.0. We bought for our Rpod, but it easily transferred to the Escape. They are a bit pricey but we bought it on the recommendation of some friends who spend a lot of time on the road. We never regretted spending that money. Linda says it is more comfortable than the Casper we have at home.

I replaced mine with a Plushbeds RV mattress, regular queen. Fits great and is super comfy! I also like that it's slim, only 6" which gives you extra head room and is easier for my dogs to make that final step jump...

FWIW I had a good experience with Mattress Insider including taking advantage of their 'free exchange' policy (the 'exchange' involved donating the first mattress to a local non-profit which was no problem).

They offer both foam and innerspring mattresses in a variety of 'stock' sizes as well as custom sizes and varying thicknesses / firmness.

In my case I wanted a Very Firm innerspring, based on a phone conversation they suggested one to try with the offer to exchange for a no-extra-cost custom addition of even more coils for more firmness if I wanted that after the trial. I ended up getting the extra coils, I'm very happy with the end result, the whole experience dealing with them was positive.

YMMV.
