Air Conditioner on 20 amp circuit

Our 2019 Escape 21 with the standard air conditioner is parked under a lean to in our barn when we are not camping. I keep it plugged into a 20-amp circuit with 12-gauge wire that has no other outlets, lights, etc. on it. Can the air conditioner be used on a 20-amp circuit that has nothing else on it but the camper?
Thanks in advance

Yes, you can run the A/C by itself on a 20amp circuit. I tripped a breaker when I ran the electric hot water heater, the fridge, and the A/C at the same time on a 20amp circuit.

Just bear in mind that if you have an instance where your batteries are not full the WFCO converter/charger will automatically engage to charge the batteries when you plug in. This can be upwards of 8 - 10A depending on your voltage. This combined with the A/C could be problematic on a 20A breaker.

If you frequently run the trailer on a 20 amp circuit, a couple of easy modifications that will help - 1. Move the converter to its own circuit breaker. 2. Consider adding an internal switch for the AC side of the water heater. Much easier than going outside to shut off the water heater switch, which is marginal, and with frequent use will fail.
