Breaker breaker good buddy...

Does anyone know the brand of breakers they're using in my 2021 Escape 5.0 TA.
Thanks and Merry Christmas.

When I added my AC and needed another breaker I picked one up from Home Depot that worked with the panel. It might have been a different brand name like Square D.

Our 21 NE with the WFCO power center has Eaton breakers as well - they are non-CTL. I've been looking for circuit breakers for a Boondocker power center that I recently purchased from BestConverter. Randy at BestConverter did not have them in stock and recommended I try sourcing them from Home Depot and Lowes. Cutler Hammer and Eaton are the same. I think they're both based on an old Westinghouse design. Alan, would you explain the difference between CTL and non-CTL breakers, please?

Here is a previous forum post with relevant material:

CTL breakers have a rejection feature on the bus connection side (the metal current conducting bar) of the breaker. This prevents them from being used in certain areas of a loadcenter. Non-CTL breakers do not have this rejection feature and will fit in any space in the loadcenter. The intent of CTL breakers is to prevent overloading the load center.

I noticed the tab on the top of the CTL breakers. Eaton has a good description and diagram in their catalog.

Bruce, if you are referring to me, it’s actually 81 miles from my house to Highlands Hammock SP. Lewiston, Idaho, you are a long way from home. Where do you plan to go after leaving HHSP?

Late to return to the forum, others have now covered that question.

Bottom line, taking a look at the WFCO panel, it does not have 'notched stab-bar tabs' so looks to be incompatible with CTL breakers.

Just FYI I have removed the OE WFCO Power Center from my trailer, that's why it was handy for the pic, so I've really not delved into its particular breaker compatibility considerations.

(I'm running the Xantrex Freedom XC2000 all-in-one Converter / Inverter / Transfer Switch in lieu of the WFCO Power Center, with a separate Progressive Dynamics 5500 Series dual-bus AC breaker / distribution panel. Like the WFCO, that panel does not accept CTL breakers.)

When I installed a built-in electric heater, I found this on my WFCO, which is the same as what CENTEX posted except minor differences on the Cutler Hammer breakers. I added a Siemens from the local home supply store.
The ones in our 2020 Escape were also Eatons.

Thanks and Merry Christmas.
If you need to add or replace a breaker the best approach is to snap one out of the circuit panel, disengage the black wire(s) and take it to Home Depot, Lowes or an electric supply store to insure that you get a breaker that fits the panel.

The circuit panel dictates the breaker and many manufacturers make several types of breakers.

Note that the two breakers on the right side of the picture in Alan's post above are both tandem breakers that enable two circuits in a single space in the circuit panel.
