For those who installed Dometic D21..
Did you measure the opening before you cut the corners out? If so, what was it and did you have to make any adaptations for the new stove? I measured mine but don't know how much "slop" as Karl calls it is okay. Mine comes out a tiny bit bigger than required for the Suburban.

I will be installing mine tomorrow. I think it will just cover the hole and I may put some wood in each side. One thing karls video does not give you is the out side measurement including the flange that hits the counter top.
19 1/16" X 14 11/16" outside
17 15/16"X13 3/4" hole size Dometic say +or- 1/8"
If you cut a piece cardboard that size you can get a idea how much it will land on counter ..Mine will only cover hole by 1/8" each side But that should be enough. Also I don't plan to cut the corners out completely like video . I going to mark all four corners to the correct size. This way at least the four corners will be tight. I will take some pictures tomorrow as i do it.

That sounds like it would work. Please update after you do it. Did you measure your original opening?

Mine seemed pretty square. Can you take a picture of how you leave the corners?
I'm still deciding if I want the Dometic or the replacement Suburban. A little worried about the "heat shield" on the latter as it kept coming loose and getting in the way of the drawers.

Got it done this morning. my original opening was . 18 5/16"x 14 1/8" as others have stated the attachment screws miss the counter and something has to be done about that. There is several ways to do this. My choice was to make a bracket out of some scrape aluminum I had laying around. Attached some pictures that might help .

The screws for those are in very tight space . I had a tool for the job,But there's only about a inch of space to tighten them . I installed the wire before dropping in hole to make it more accessible Maybe a better way would to add a 3" of wire from the terminals to a SAE connector. That way you could just plug it in after the install .I probably would have done that if i had a set at the house, But i had already went to lowes to get a couple stainless screws. I dint want to make the drive back.LOL
