Insurance help
We are trying to get insurance for our new 19 that we will be picking up in early July. I have gotten several quotes, and each one shows a different Escape -- none of which are the right one!
I contacted my regular insurance agent who can write with Progressive (since so many member of this forum have Progressive). She sent me the following:
There is no option for an Escape 19. The options are:
Escape :
One
OneXL
Tradtion
Traveler sport
Traveler XL
Vintage
Vintage XL
Vista
Vista Go
Vista OC
Vista Q
Vista XL
So... has anyone else had this issue or is it just my agent?
Thanks!

Tell your agent to call Progressive not just use the internet.
Here is how Progressive describes my trailer on the policy coverage page.
2019 Escape Trailer Industries Escape 21 followed by the VIN.
I called and all is well.

Hi: stevemcn... Insurance Co's know next to nothing about fiberglass Escape trailers. They occupy such a small nieche in the market you will have to provide them all data possible. Pictures prices etc. Alf

Since our auto insurance is with American Family we contacted our local agent to inquire about insuring our 19. The answer was yes, and he made the whole process easy. -Tom

Are you sure your agent knows what was being insured? There seems to be a lot of confusion in the insurance industry. Maybe he insured your KZ Escape instead of ETI Escape. Huge difference in value of a two year old KZ and an ETI.

I have notice a trend since the introduction and use of computers and the lack of common sense, if the computer does not show it, it must not exist!!!

When I received my renewal policy this year. My Escape had changed into an Escalade. Called and it was corrected.

my progressive trailer policy lists the insured trailer as "2014 Escape Escape travel Trailer". The VIN is correct

Insurance
Thanks to everyone for waking me up, especially Glenn for showing a picture of my trailer, oh wait that's not mine. I discovered the addition of KZ just before the name Escape. Thirty minutes on the phone I seem to have it straightened out with National General (good sam). Now I'll have to compare prices again with my $500 rate & $1000 deductible for a 2018 $29000 trailer.
Thanks again. Jack
