Max fan auto lite on. Nothing working

The auto light is staying on the panel of the max fan.
It will not turn off and I cannot start the fan.

Experienced the same symptom on our MaxxFan on our 15A and it was only getting 11.8volts (as measured at the wire ends at the fan). It needs minimum 12.0 volts to function properly; very sensitive!

Or the control board is faulty.

That does not sound great. The furnace is also not working.....
I had the inverter turned on but that should not be voltage. I will be cleaning the sail switch when I get home. Don't want to try that when I am out camping.

Assuming you have a multi-meter with you, what is the resting battery voltage?

If you haven't, turn off the inverter and try again. You may have drained the batteries too much.

I cleaned the sail switch. And in the process turned off all power. Furnace working again and the maxx fan re-set and is working just fine.
Sort of like control/alt/delete on the old computers!
I think I will not depend on solar re-charging in the cold weather.
Will take my trusty Honda generator if I boondock in cold weather.
Thanks for the replies.

Over the last year we encounter situation where the green light stayed. on without any respond to the ON/OFF button. Pulling the fuse resolve everything. After reading that the cause was most probably a voltage problem and with a new AGM battery replacing the original lead battery deep cycle I decided to include a voltage regulator to the fan board hopping to have finally resolved that problem. Well it did not. On 2 occasions the dam green light came on again with a voltage regulator set carefuly to 12v. On each occasion the fan was running at the lowest speed. The last 2nights, we ran the fan and the 3 lowest level and did nod experience the green light. Coincidence we will see

My Max fan has had the green light issue from time to time. It’s running on a voltage regulator set to 12.5 v. I had a chat with the factory, they suggest it’s probably a bad board. It’s quite intermittent, can run for days without a problem. I don’t think it’s a big enough issue to fix at this point. I just turn the main power switch off and on and problem solved.

Remove cover. Use heat gun or a hair dryer and blow some warm air in. The circuit board operates in a high humidity environment. Worked for me.
