Norcold 2 way fridge problem

My Norcold 2 way fridge now refuses to work on AC power. I confirmed there is power at the fridge plug outlet. I'm getting an error code of "NO HL". I couldn't find that code in the manual....Any Ideas on what I should check next? fridge had warranty service done on it a year ago. I'm not sure if its still under warranty, its a 2022 model..It works on gas fine

I’m pretty sure HL stands for “High Limit,” and I think Norcolds have a high limit switch. You might want to check YouTube for videos. I seem to recall there were videos about resetting various codes. I cannot check because I am on cellular data right now with a speed of cold molasses.

Jack, according to the internet, Norcold warrantees for three years. However, there is conflicting information that it is only two years. The best way to resolve the question is to call Norcold directly (800-543-1219 ). After responding to your original question, I got back home and did Google your problem….several hits. One stated propane operates but electric does not could be a failed heating element or a blown fuse on the refrigerator. Like most other companies, Norcold does not want to have to absorb a lot of costs for warranty work, so I believe a chat with their technical support folks might point you in the right direction. Since the refrigerator is working on propane, I would tend to believe the 120vac not working is a PITA rather than a real problem.

Just curious - what model number is your fridge and how long was the warranty?

not sure of the model ..but it was installed in a 2022 5.0. Norcold told me its out of warranty as of last July...

It worked well in July and August on camping trips...

IMO it's rather puzzling / irritating that Norcold's warranty info webpage leads to 404-error dead-ends; why can't they be more forthcoming about it?



Noting your trailer delivered April 2022, and you're told the warranty expired July 2023 .... ~15 months sure seems an odd warranty term.

I wouldn't take the first no; Maxxfan tried to do that to me recently and after polite persistence from me they did a Goodwill Accommodation. In this case it might have been a misunderstanding of the start date for your warranty so I would call back and ask to speak with a Supervisor.
