Hi Molly,
Welcome to the club...
There is a long waiting list, depending on which model you take. I ordered a 17'B on August 21st, and it will be ready on April 1st 2010. Long wait, but I think it is worth while!!

Hi: roxie... In theory if you do 100% of your selling from 10% of your stock Escape would have to have a lot of trailers on the lot. Unsold inventory costs $$$$$$'s. Escape prefers to build to the customers order and as close to the customers wants as can be done!!! They are very SUCCESSFULL at this...and it shows...but it takes time. After all you want it done right don't you. Alf

Re: purchasing a new escape 17'b trailer
Alas, I was very close to placing my order for the 17b and now must desist due to the recent 7% latest price increase on top of the increase due to declining U.S. dollar.
The product is great, making the demand great; but it was already a stretch at $19.9K base, now impossible at $21.3K.

Hang in there! BTW, Welcome to the forum. One never knows what is around the corner. Keep checking for resales as well as currency rates. The FGRV as well as the Escape trailer site itself are good resources. It may just take a little longer than you had hoped.

Yep, cost of $25.5 for a nicely equipped 17B and $28.5 CDN for a 19 is getting up there and I'm not even retired yet. I'm definitely going to consider the used market too. You really have to use it a lot to get your money out of it.

Re: purchasing a new escape 17'b trailer
Hi Molly: I just took delivery of my new 17B on the weekend. I too thought I would have a long wait........possibly until next Spring, however, I phoned Reace at the factory and lucky for me somebody who had ordered a trailer was unable to complete the transaction, so I was slotted into his / her delivery date. From my first enquiry to delivery date was only two months. So, I would advise you to keep in touch with Tammy and Reace at the factory and you just never know if the same scenario might happen to you. Their telephone number is (604) 703-1650. Good luck with your plan.
Gabe.
