SoftStartRV connecting to Dometic Penguin II

I tried installing the SoftStartRV accessory to our Dometic Penguin II AC on our 21C, without success. While it may be a faulty unit (and Soft Start is sending one), I'm concerned that I may have wired it incorrectly, despite SoftStart tech support.

SoftStart did provide support on FaceTime and they were able to look at what was what, and they thought I had it wired incorrectly. I changed it to their wiring diagram for the Penguin II and it still did not function properly. So they had me change it back to their standard Dometic AC wiring diagram, which is what I had in the first place and it still did not work properly.

I'm not much of an electrical person, I'm more of a "take yellow wire from kit, plug into where blue wire was on compressor" level of experience. Unfortunately, at least my unit has "extra" components to what are shown in the install schematic, so that has me concerned as well.

Has anyone on the forum installed a SoftStart on their Dometic, and if so did you have any problems or adjustments you had to make to the install that were different that the instruction set?

In the meantime, I've hooked everything back up (I think) and the AC seems to be working as before. My other issue is bad knees, so leaning over while up on a ladder I learned is not a good combo for me. Unfortunately most shops won't install the SoftStart unless I buy it from them, so I may be stuck up on a ladder again.
