Wow, Thoer! You're really showing Reace some real Wisconsin hospitality. I wanna come too! :

Tammy has his planned route meeting us in Minnesota on Monday, July 3rd. We're supposed to be his last one before he heads for the border.

Iowa sausage, Wisconsin home brew. Wisconsin Pizza baked by an Italian, and Wisconsin factory beer. Eric, you're sure to hook him for a return trip to the Mississippi River Rally one day. Don't forget some good cheese.

I'm sure tryin'! Were it not for Tammy's contest I think we'd have them this year. Last weekend in Plymouth we saw where a huge % of fine Wisconsin cheese comes from.

I believe Reace is hustling back home to watch Tammy compete in the Calgary Stampede Cutting Horse Competition. Sounds like she's trained up a great cutting horse, and she's a great rider! If you've never seen it, it's an amazing event with horse and rider working as one to sort a steer out of a group and keep it separated (Google videos if you're curious), and it would be fun to watch Tammy compete. Maybe we need to plan an Escape Rally at next year's Calgary Stampede to watch her, and maybe by then their younger daughter, Leah (sp?), compete! Road trip!!

At the rally Reace and Tammy said that there is a big cutting horse contest around the time they had been planning on coming to the Mississippi River Rally this year. We'll get them here some year....

Rally on the Mississippi

Hey Eric
I think it's pretty well known that that if you and I are at a rally there will be some horsing around. There's an excellent ale made in Ames Iowa. It's called long face ale and has horse logo. The standarrd joke is printed on the 6 pack carrier. A horse walks into a bar. Bartender says " Why the long face?"
Rimshot please
Dave

FWIW, Reace left the Chicago area about an hour ago heading up to Wisconsin after finishing the repairs needed in my trailer. His stated objective to finish all the repairs needed to be done and get to Tammys riding competition. Wishing them both good luck in their endeavors.

Well, one very hard working man just left our place on his way toward Wausau. We tried our best to get him to use our guest bedroom for the night, but he wanted to be closer to his morning appointments. He said he has mostly been staying in truck stops for his overnights.

Watching Reace on the plumbing repair, I could tell he has it down to a science and he did, as expected, an excellent job. Like someone else posted, except for a few new pieces of trim on the cubbies you'd never know he had it all apart. He also fixed a small leak on our hot water connection in the kitchen, diagnosed the grey tank smell in our microwave cabinet, made several adjustments to the awning, and showed me the screws to check occasionally on it for tighness.

Mary fed him homemade pizza and rhubarb pie, and I supplied the Summer Shanty. Every time I have a chance to interact with Reace or Tammy, I am reminded how lucky we are to have them as our trailer builders.

Thank you Reace for this amazing cross country marathon!
