Thanks guys. I was able to get the max fan out. It's now laying on the roof. I got the gear box out of it and it is completely stripped. It's not broken apart to the point I can see inside though.

The gear box that opens and closes the lid on my MaxxFan has stripped gears or something. I'm going to need to get up there and replace it. I've never gotten on top of my Escape before. Will the roof...
