Mine was a RH thread, so lefty loosey. It was tight, but I was careful and didn’t break the Allen wrench. Try some PB Blaster or some other loosening fluid.

Mine was fairly easy after removing the Allen set screw. That drops the fan making the cover and fan both easy to clean.
