I don't think you'll see any significant difference in rated towing capacity, because the cab and box only change the curb weight, and the trailer rating is just whatever is left after subtracting...

The box length is relevant to how much space there is between the cab and axle, and the 6.5' box would be suitable; a shorter box would require a compromise in hitch position or in turning clearance....
