Actually, if you are stopping for fuel, no need...

Actually, if you are stopping for fuel, no need to run it on 12v, just shut it off, then turn it on again. It's not going to get hot in the 5 or 10 minutes you are pumping fuel.

Honestly, my refrigerator stays colder on 12v than it does on propane when towing. I suspect it is due to the flame being blown out repeatedly and having to reignite. With solar I can drive for 8...
