Attached is s picture of the receiver for the remote. In the 19 its in the over head cabinet . on the 21 it may be in the shelving unit between door and bath.

I think you found your problem . That switch should have two wires one would go to awning and the other to the fuse in the dc breaker. it may have fallen down in the wall . might be able to get it...
