And, that depends on the trailer. In my 17B the stove is next to the shower wall, so the hood makes no difference.

We use ours . . . for fridge magnets, but that's because we mostly cook outside and, in any event, I've forgotten to open the vent.
Still, I'd rather have it than not on our 17B.
