New Tire Options for a 2004 17B

Hi Folks,

I have a 2004 17B and I'm looking for opinions on a replacement tire. I currently have Goodyear Marathon Radials. The tire size is ST205/75R14.

Thanks for your thoughts

Hi: TBAM... There's probably room for 225/75R14's but they will lift the trailer up higher. I went with the original size as the 5.0 has already been lifted.
Watch out for the last step. It'll be a doozie!!! Alf

And TBAM if you're wondering, that's the same trailer you see in both replies, it will be ours soon!

True, but with only 20 mm of added section width and a 75 aspect ratio, the increase in sidewall height (and thus the increase in ride height) would be 75% of 20 mm, or 15mm (9/16") - that might not be significant.

Yes, you're right - the only question is whether or not you care since it is not much higher. We're not talking stilts here...
