New tires for my 21.

Greetings Escapees,
It's time for a new set of tires for my 21. What brands are recommended from the forum? Any to avoid?
Thx

A few people think the Goodyear Endurance tire is pretty good. I may go with it when my time comes for replacement.

Jeez, are you going to open a discussion!

For what it's worth, these are the ones that are going on my trailer.

Goodyear Wrangler HT - SIZE: LT215/75R15 Highway All-Season

Hi: Rich30039... I'm retired and I chose Goodyear Endurance's. Just don't let them air 'em up to Max 65psi or you may rattle the doors off your trailer!!! 80 mph Max towing speed takes care of most situations too!!!
FYI they're made in the USA also. Alf

Thanks for the advice, I think I'll go with the Goodyear Endurance.

Good choice. I replaced tires on my 5.0 with the Endurance and was happy with them so last year I replaced the original tires on my 5.0TA with Endurance. Funny though it cost me twice as much

Goodyear Endurance on ours. Have about 3000 mi on them now and very satisfied with how much beefier the construction of these tires are.

Replaced our tires a few years ago with Maxxis M 8008 D the original Carlisle tires keep getting flats etc. we buy Michigan tires for our vehicles so very happy with Maxxis and they are warranted for 7 years . The new Goodyear ‘s were just out at the time and needed a history on the tires before we would purchase . Pat

Another anecdote FWIW. I've never had a flat on my Escape. Marathon tires and then Carlisle.

Marathons on the 19 the whole time we had it. Marathons on the 21 special ordered at Escape when picked up, Goodyear Endurance on the 21 now. Michelin’s on the Tow vehicles.

Dance with the one that brought you. In a tight spot you won’t be thinking about the cost of the tires, you’ll just be hoping they do their job. On ice, in rain or snow or on dry pavement ,It all happens pretty fast.

Endurance tires are now on my E'21. Satisfied - after reducing the pressure from the 65 psi max down to 50 psi. At 65 the drive was harsh.

I observed on the Goodyear website that the load capacity at 50 psi was more than enough to support the trailer should one of the two tires blow.

So true reason we replaced the Carlisle’s . Very inferior tire but probably better then what you get on other new trailers . Pat

Hi Fred,
When did you replace your original tires and why? We have about 3 years and 36,000 miles on our original 21 tires. I thought I'd wait until 4 years, but I'm very interested in reasons to replace them earlier.

Hi Richard!
We had about 45,000 on our original tires last year and were planning our trip to Alaska from San Antonio. That is why we switched them.
