Dave, you've been holding out on us with pictures from the rally. And I want to know what that Coors Light is doing in there amongst all that real beer!!

I'm sure you've heard my mantra. I only drink two kinds of beer. Cold and Free and I only drink two. The first one and the last one. That said, the Coors light was a gift from a fellow camper and it was cold. Truth is, my engaging conversation is often so well attended that guys bring a cold one along for me and my good manners prevent me from turning it down. Everything from light domestics to stout Germans and Canadian ales and IPAs to Wisconsin brewed shandys and pilsners. When you got a habit pretty soon you ain't picky anymore

Sounds like you would like "Polygamy Porter" from Wasatch Brewery, motto: "Why have just one?"

Well it seems the significant other has changed their mind and now wants to visit California and that means Osoyoos is only a 2 day drive from there. Still making calculations but was wondering, what happens if one arrives late, say 8-10 pm. Are there gates that close at night?
Which site is available or do I take one and then move the next day to my assigned spot? It is going to be a whirlwind 2 week trip out and back but we are now thinking it can be accomplished. I guess I better call the cg tomorrow.

Geez... two days!!! Jim, you are AMAZING! This would be a 4 day drive for anyone else. At what point do you fall under the federal guidelines for sleep and drive time?

You did read 2 day drive from California, not Pennsylvania, correct? I mean it is going to take me at least 4 days to get to California, stop and visit and then head north. Of course if the dam breaks and washes out the bottom part of the state then alternate plans will be activated.

That won't happen. The xxx/xxx/creatures (creatures it is: my 1st 2 choices are not acceptable on any forum) in Sacramento don't let water from up there into the southern part of the state.

(Can you guess I live in an agricultural county, and some of my best friends are farmers?)

If you want to arrive early for the rally, Penticton hosts the meadowlark festival the weekend before. It is a 3 day event that we have attended before and highly recommend it if your into nature. Details of this years event won't be available until April but you can get an idea of what to expect from this link; Home of the Meadowlark Nature FestivalMeadowlark Nature Festival We expect to be there.

Made our reservations tonite, spot C141 for 4 days. They had my info from the past already on file and I explained that I wanted to be close to C142, the long term resident site for Darrell and Evie. We met them in 2014 when Darrell had an unfortunate fall and I rushed over to respond to his cries for help.It seems he had impaled himself on a tarp spike and could not get up. Realizing the severity of the situation myself and Gabi's husband, Wolf more or less sat on him to prevent movement until the ambulance arrived. They dug up the spike and took both to the hospital. They at first thought he was going to die. But the spike went thru his cheek and just missed his eye. Luckily they removed the spike and 3 days later he was home. Since then we have remained in touch and we see on another at the rally.
I have one of the spikes and was going to mount it as a surprise for him.

Received my confirmation and deposit of $60 which according to my alert on my credit card comes out to be $45.83 US. Not too bad after the exchange conversion.

I paid on Feb. 11 and it was $45.93 US. I didn't ask for a specific site; I don't care where they put me.

How exciting! Mine won't be ready until the fall but we are coming to the rally and staying up the hill at the resort. Looking forward to meeting a fellow quilter!
