I asked for a specific site that was located close to Jim Bennett so I didn't have to walk too far after Scotch tasting, the office staff accommodated my request .

Did you ask what site? They might have shafted Jim to the outskirts after last years sticky show

Whoa:
We made reservations on-line, then called to confirm that we're part of the ETI rally, and ask a couple of questions. They told us that specific sites are not assigned until we get there. So, what did we not do right?

Depends on who you speak with, on our previous visits we arrived 2 days early and got our sites but was told they hand them out as the cg fill up, so if you arrive later than early you may get another site.

Nothing wrong with what you did. You can ask for a specific site and they will assign it to you, but they reserve the right to move you, so you can well end up in a different site. Only way to book a specific site is to take it for two weeks, as per their stated policy.

LOL ... actually we will have our small store, Camping Treasures, set up offering the Escape key chain along with other goodies. We wanted to be close to the main loop so come visit us in the easy to find site with the Yellow/White Boler, site C47

Any site will do!

I am arriving a couple of days early right after picking up the trailer. Anyone there is welcome to the show as I attempt to back into the site for the first time . Haven't driven with a trailer in well over 40 years. See you all there, I look forward to putting faces to a name on the forum.

Steven, our hatch date is May 15, maybe we'll see you at ETI.

No idea what our campsite number is, they didn't provide us with one, and as Glenn says, it may be just an imaginary number anyway.

Stoppin off

When I was working, we'd often stop for a cold one after work. Somebody would pick the establishment. When it was close to where I lived I'd usually remark that I liked their choice because i could crawl home without wearing out the knees in my pants. Now I have a designated driver and limit chaperone and feel better in the morning. The truth is that at rallies a short trip to the restroom can last 4 hours by the time you stop to talk along the way. Especially if I am talking to you. I have a cooler with wheels now , high mileage Michelins and titanium wheel bearings.

This is so true, eh! I don't know how many times I took off for a walk about the campground, and did not even make it around one short loop.

Mary thought a few times at the Mississippi rally that I had been abducted by aliens on my way to the bathroom...

The most conversation inducing design I've ever seen. Toilet and Shower building with tables under a large pavilion like overhang. Large fireplace and pop machine. Place
to store a full pickup load of firewood Fudge Brownie bought off Craigslist and had delivered. Round the clock fire. Nice setup.

Dave,
coming out of that bath reminded me of a military gauntlet, I must have timed my evening shower just right.
