I also did that but have not had a response to it yet, they called back in response to a message I left on their answering machine.

Open House ???

We have ordered a 19 but I don't think it will done in time to attend the rally with the trailer. As we live 1.5 hours away from the rally we would like to drop by...say hi and see how some of you have personalized your trailers. From what I have read there has been no set time line for activities in the past. So my question: is there usually an open house when the public can see the trailers and what day and time would that be?

If I recall, Friday and Saturday afternoons were reserved for viewings and one attaches a colored ballon to indicate their open house. But remembe,r both days owners are also out attending wine tours and other local sights so some may not be available. But we are always glad to show out Escape so I'm sure if you see the door open, just stop in and ask.

The wine tours were fantastic. We still have a couple bottles from the ones we brought back from the 2016 rally.

In fact, the whole rally from start to finish was excellent. Reace and Tammy, and the whole crew from Escape go all out. It truly is a customer appreciation rally. About the only thing we didn't care for was the Nk'mip folks giving away our site 20 minutes before we arrived. They put us down the hill, in a site too small for our rig, and making it harder to mix with the bulk of the rally attendees.

I have been lucky with my spot, all three times within 5 slots of one another in the big loop. Bring a bike, the cg is very large.

Booked! I called again and left a message and they called back and booked me. Odd though, just now received a response to the reservation request I had made on line on the 1st.
Here is the email I just received. I think they are not all on the same page.

"Hi there,

We aren’t taking reservations until November 5th for the following summer season. We open at 8am.

Thank you,

No rush.
I don't think I've ever gotten the site that I requested, no matter how early I reserved.

We were one of 6 Escapes stuck out in the 'north-40' during the last rally - scattered well beyond the "Bistro". So we made it to the main events, but not convenient for mingling otherwise. We were a bit surprised by the separation on arrival, but still had fun...

I'm ready to make our reservations but have a few questions about the campground - we will have our 19 and a pickup truck - since we do not need 50 amp service I was going to ask for a 30 amp full service site (no need for phone/cable) on the waterfront. It looks like some waterfront sites would be a short walk to the big circle while others very far away. Would we be better off asking for a 50/30 amp site on the circle because that is where the rally is focused?

This will be our first trip and first rally. I am normally a "get as far away from activity as possible" type of person but in this case the whole point of going is to participate in the activities and get to know other Escapees. Any thoughts on site location for the rally by those who have been there would be greatly appreciated.

I have been fortunate that I got the site I reserved every year, until last. They will not guarantee any site, pretty much on a first come, first served basis.

While there are some nice sites down near or at the water, you deal with the wind a lot more, there are more bugs, and it is further away from most activities. Still, not all that far either.

Being a social butterfly (no comments from the peanut gallery please), I like to be in the thick of things for the rally. Otherwise when camping on our own being away from activity areas is our thing.
