Even though we are just barely east of the Mississippi, I would love an eastern version of an escape rally...

That is a great idea! We will get our baby in July! To have a rally on the east side would be awesome. We live in the Atlanta area!

The Eggscursion in Townsend, TN would be a good central place to meet. There is already going to be at least 3 Escape 19 there. It's a Egg rally that has had around 70 campers the last few years. We are moving to a new campground next year that will make it easier for everyone to be closer together.

Tom,
We have been there the past 2 years and loved the old campground but that traffic the last 30 miles is a killer, particularly after driving 12 hours. Leaving with the auto show in town took us an extra 2 hours. Perhaps another cg locale in the area that doesn't have the "Dollywood" attraction?

Yes I remember you Jim. Sorry about that Jim, guess you did not hear the announcement not to go through Pigeon Forge. Much easier to go through Knoxville via Maryville. Lets you avoid all that mess over by Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge

East of the Mississippi Escape meet
I moved several posts from another thread that were discussing a mini Escape rally for those not attending the big Escape rally in progress now in Canada.
We are trying to hash out the details and wishes of those who may want to meet.
Please feel free to provide your input as to date and place. Thanks

Boy, that is a nice KOA there in Virginia. That could certainly be a real nice place to meet, looks like a lot of pull throughs for those who may want that option.

Yikes! Remind me not to go there!
In contrast the Luray KOA feels very safe.

Yep, lots of pull throughs. Lovely grass and views of the mountains. There is also a club house type of building for events. This is one of my favorite campgrounds.

That is about 500 miles closer to Minnesota than Osoyoos, BC.

Now all we need is to pick some dates and put it out there for opinions. My vote would be last weekend in July or any of the first 4 weekends in August (there are 5 this year) then I can contact the cg for details.

August 10-12 would work for me. My Escape should have arrived by then!

That is good with me, anyone else have any other dates to consider, when does your Escape arrive, RockyFan? I asked Escape about the orientation delivery and they said their attorney was investigating the issue. If not, then I'll be able to show you some things later at the CG in August.

Interesting ...
Well Kim said my delivery should be near the end of July. I can wait until the rally for the unofficial cpaharley orientation.
I can probably also make it to Luray on other later weekends in August.

Either of those (8/9-8/11) or next (8/16-8/18) is good for me. I have Niagara Escape Rally in early September and New York Egg Rally in early October. Halloween will be at my favorite Pennsylvania CG, Burnt Cabins. Now to find something in July.
