OX BLOX jack blocks

Anyone here used these? My Andersen blocks are starting to crack and disintegrate, so I'm looking for replacements and these look like they would work well and last long. By the way watch the video on this page, it's hilarious:

That's a great video. Reminds me of Red Green! Never understood why folks still use wood blocks anyways.

More moronic than a hoot.

Umm, let's see, my assortment of wood blocks, now being used on my 3rd RV, are painted, strong and extremely versatile. Never had a situation, even on some pretty sloping and rough ground where they didn't do the job.

That's why.

Ox Box Video reminds me of Quick Dick McDick from Tuffnel SK. - a YouTube channel by the same name.

Why? Because some of us (like me) are too cheap to spend $50 on a synthetic block with one set height, when for $10 I can have several pieces of treated 2x8 and make variable heights. But if you think I should have some Ox Blox on hand, let me know and I'll provide you my shipping address...

Keep checking that mailbox, Mike. I promise they’re in the mail.

Somebody please tell me we're not going to rehash the whole Corona Arch thing one more time...

Don't know what a Corona Arch is but I could do a rehash of why it's nice to have an assortment of wood blocks.

This was the prime site of the whole campground. Waterfront and no neighbors. But it meant parking cross ways on a sloping site. All eyes at a site across the road were watching. Probably betting that we'd give up trying to use such a sloping site.

A few blocks are so versatile, don't leave home without them.

I do like that they aren’t bright orange!

My bright orange blocks are still working, but my California redwood blocks are mostly split.

These choices aren't mutually exclusive, guys...I've got plenty of stackable block things (plastic and wood) to work with, but I also like having these big blocks for my 5.0 landing gear in easy situations, like the Andersen red bucket-type things I have now. You too can have both! So back to my original question: anybody have any experience at all with OX BLOX?

Let me share a little secret why my blocks are old, well used and not split.

I put a dado across both ends with a spline. Some others have a 1/2" plywood bottom to make them 2". Also serves to prevent splitting.

Thanks for the tip, Ron.

Sorry to pollute your thread, Joe. I’m sure those blocks will work well, but they won’t store inside each other.

I also am a wood blocker at home and the road. Been using the same one at campsites for 15 years, made of scraps of cedar.

Roger that. Next to functionality, weight and space usage are high on my list as to whether I will use a product or not.

Have had one for over a year. Great product super stable and does absorb moisture. Great product story, a high school project using recycled materials.

Oh no worries, lol...I also wanted folks to know that I think it's a good idea to have multiple options, to help in any situations. I've got chocks, blocks, and buckets and can pretty much park anywhere!

That is one downside, i.e. they don't nestle. But my current Andersen ones don't either and it doesn't bother me too much, I've got plenty of room in the pickup bed...I tend to place them on top of lighter stuff to help hold them down, like my outdoor camp mat.

Me too, I can't see spending $50US/block when my 15 year old pressure treated off cuts work perfectly well and didn't cost me a thing.

Oh, and I just don't like the look of orange and yellow plastic altho the colour of the OxBlock is not as bad.
