Simple. Stand in the bathroom, hold the shower head, but don't turn on the water. Pretend you are taking a shower. Then pretend you are drying the walls. And best of all, when all of this is done, you can pretend you are capping it off with a big helping of poutine and you can pretend it is delicious.

Ah, but does the chef shower?
Wash his hands, at least?

At the risk of being berated for stupidity, what is Poutine? Sounds like some sort of Cajun dish we have around here!

Had to look it up myself in Wiki: Poutine is a common Canadian dish, originating in Quebec, made with french fries, topped with a light brown gravy-like sauce and cheese curds. [1] This fast food dish can now be found across Canada, and is also found in some places in the northern United States and even the United Kingdom, where it is sometimes required to be described due to its exotic nature.
Sounds absolutely disgusting.

It's wonderful! Come on... you eat loaded baked potatoes right.. that usually has cheese and you eat mashed potatoes with gravy, right? There really isn't a whole lot of difference except poutine is ALL that.

Makes sense... Cajuns are Acadians who moved to Louisiana, and Acadians in turn are French Canadians.

All true, except that "common" means available widely, not that it is commonly eaten. Even McDonalds sell it, but most of the people I know have never had poutine, and most have no interest in trying it - it is generally seen as having too much fat. I will, someday, but probably in Quebec for authenticity.
The latest trend seems to be to put other stuff on it as well, typically some sort of meat such as pulled pork.

Good point... and the potato is deep-fried, which is about as American as apple pie.

I'm not sure the tastebuds of people from cold, wet climates have evolved as rapidly as those of us who see a little more sun.
I'd trade a plate of poutine any day for some cheesy nachos!

Absolutely, and low in calories too.
Okay, maybe I lied on the second part of that sentence.

Have you actually tried it? No reason you can't like, or have, both. I love a good plate of nachos too.

Jim, am I curious? Its the gravy soaked fries I'm having trouble with. Where to find it down here. Maybe one more thing on my ever lengthening bucket list!
We do garlic fries, chili fries, and animal fries in a previous post. All good.
