That second picture reminds me of an economic phrase, "conspicuous consumption"
no wonder we are in a fix, so to speak.
For sure! It's a condo project selling RV lots. If you can believe it, the ocean-front lots are listed for $265,000 each.

I didn't think to snap a picture for this thread this weekend, the view would have been gorgeous if the window hadn't been filth covered...
On that note, why don't trailers come with a rear window cover? The front is also a rock guard, a rear one would be very helpful in keeping gravel road filth off that window...

back window
30 some years ago we ordered a new scamp 13 to be delivered to us in CA and requested a rear window cover that matched the front, worked well and protected the window.

Being new to holiday trailers, we had no inkling of such a thing. It is one of the few (only?) "if I had a do over I'd ask for..." items with our Escape. Our usage is for dirt biking, so we travel dusty roads...

For every person that wants a window cover over the back window, I hear "I love the fact I can see all the way through the trailer while under tow." Different strokes for different folks.

Can not say that as most Escapes have a front window cover used when towing. Perhaps some Scamps or other FGRV can lay that claim.

Even the other brands usually have a front window cover, but some owners don't use them; the cover could be removed from an Escape. Also, some brands/models (such as the Boler 1300 and the Scamps copied from them) have a plastic (acrylic, but one could use polycarbonate) front window that is probably less vulnerable to rock damage than glass.
Personally, I can't imagine enough benefit of limited tunnel vision through the trailer to skip the front window protection (which we have on our current Boler and would have on the Escape replacement), and so a rear cover wouldn't change visibility for me.

Taken out our back window on June 14 at St. Mary Campground in Glacier NP, on our way home after the Osoyoos rally.

Taken out our back window five minutes ago, of my favorite place in the whole world - our back yard.

So Brian, does this means you have decided to join our ranks as an owner?

We are not ready to go back to a trailer yet, but Escape is currently the only brand on the shopping list for when that time comes.
